Rev. Joel Wood
Pastor
Joel is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary, and while he spent a few years exploring the east coast, he has deep roots in Oklahoma. Joel attended Oral Roberts University in 2007 receiving a degree in Sacred Music. During that time he served at First Presbyterian Church of Tulsa as a lay leader working with middle school and college students, as well as being heavily invested in their contemporary worship service. Most recently Joel served as the Associate Pastor of Discipleship at the First Presbyterian Church of Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.
Joel is married to Amber, and together they have two children, Emerson & Charlie. While ministry is Joel’s call, it’s not his only passion. If he’s not reading he can be found spending time with his family, working out, playing disc golf, or cheering on his beloved Green Bay Packers or Oklahoma City Thunder.
Joel, with his warm smile and gentle spirit, his passion to live into the idea of the priesthood of all believers and commitment to collaboration, and his deep love of learning is driven by the desire and conviction to help all people come to know Christ, love Christ, and serve Christ.

Amanda Teachnor
Organist/Accompanist
Amanda has blessed FPCSS since 2006 with her talents as a gifted accompanist. She is an exceptionally skilled organist and pianist, providing musical accompaniment in Sunday worship for the congregation and for the vocalists and instrumentalists who provide special music. She has been the accompanist for the Sand Springs Community Theater, the Sapulpa Community Theater, and each spring she is the accompanist for the Charles Page High School musical. She teaches private piano lessons at the Sand Springs Home, at Lake Country Christian School, and at FPC. When not serving elsewhere, Amanda can be found in the FPC sanctuary, at the piano or organ, perfecting her current musical challenge.
