Our Mission
At First Presbyterian Church of Sand Springs, we are filled with life as a congregation because God creates us, loves us, and calls us to be his children, and to be family to one another. Our purpose is to serve, play, learn, and worship together, seeking to have our brethren, lost and found, accept the grace God offers and join us at the table of the Lord.
Our Vision
We gather as an extended family around a common table to receive the grace that gives us life.
We Gather
to affirm in our own lives and proclaim to the world that Jesus Christ is the Risen Lord,
to share one another’s joys and burdens,
to worship God and celebrate his gracious love and wondrous power,
to serve God together in sincerity, truth and joy,
to study, teach and learn Scripture, immersing our lives in the biblical vision,
to help others receive the grace of Christ and enter into God’s family.
Then we go out into the community and world where Christ sends us.
We go
to proclaim the Good News for the salvation of all people,
to serve those who suffer and work for justice in our community and world,
to bear witness to our faith through every aspect of our lives, and
we go to give the world a glimpse of the Kingdom of God.
